in 2023, i had the grand realization that i felt lonely even though i knew i had friends. and thanks to my friend’s favorite app shutting down, i found a way to appeal to her needs as well as mine.

so our podcast journey began.

the premise of the original app revolved around the desire to learn about other countries and being provided book titles from those countries. from there we decided to travel to other countries via literature and then discuss them each month.

the podcast came about as a means to potentially create further community and with the help of a local radio station, KZUM 89.3, we gained a platform and the equipment to start it all.
